Gentle bedtime massage tested to help autistic kids sleep and feel better
NCT ID NCT07476937
Summary
This study aims to understand how a child's sensitivity to sounds, lights, and touch affects their sleep and emotions. Researchers will test a simple, parent-led bedtime routine involving gentle pressure massage and calming words to see if it helps autistic children aged 6-10 fall asleep faster and feel more regulated during the day. The study will involve questionnaires, a lab visit, and two weeks of home monitoring for 60 families.
