Brain cancer breakthrough? old drugs, new hope for glioblastoma
NCT ID NCT07284069
First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tests two existing drugs—senicapoc and perampanel—alone and together for newly diagnosed glioblastoma, the most common and aggressive adult brain cancer. The goal is to find safe doses and see if the drugs reach the tumor. About 36 adults will receive the drugs alongside standard care (surgery, radiation, chemo) and be closely monitored for side effects and tumor response.
