Could a simple pill calm brain inflammation and slow Alzheimer's?

Summary

This study tests an experimental drug called senicapoc in people with mild Alzheimer's or mild cognitive impairment. The goal is to see if it can reduce brain inflammation and slow down memory loss. About 55 participants will take either the drug or a placebo for 52 weeks, with regular tests of thinking skills and spinal fluid markers.
