Summary
This pilot study tests whether giving semaglutide (Ozempic) to 100 stroke patients who had a clot-removal procedure can improve recovery. Patients are randomly assigned to receive weekly injections for 12 weeks or no drug. The main goal is to see if a larger, definitive trial is possible by tracking recruitment, adherence, and retention. If successful, it could lead to a bigger study aiming to reduce death and long-term disability after stroke.
