Can a smaller surgery beat lung cancer after chemo?

NCT ID NCT06496659

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a less invasive lung surgery, called segmentectomy, can completely remove lung cancer in people whose tumors have shrunk after initial treatment (chemotherapy or immunotherapy). About 25 adults with non-small cell lung cancer that has reduced to 3 cm or smaller will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this smaller surgery can achieve clear margins (no cancer left behind) and avoid the need for a larger lung removal.
