Free 3D lung maps may make surgery safer and faster

Summary

This study tested whether 3D lung models made with free software could help surgeons during lung cancer surgery. Thirteen patients were enrolled. The models were created from CT scans and compared to standard 2D scans. The goal was to see if the 3D models were easy to use and accurate.
