First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how attention and thinking strategies influence decision-making and brain activity in people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder compared to healthy volunteers. Participants will use a positive thinking strategy during a gambling task while having their brains scanned with MRI. They will also answer short surveys about their daily activities and feelings for one week. The goal is to understand how brain function during decision-making relates to real-world choices.
