First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a scalp block (numbing medicine injected into the scalp) can reduce severe headaches in people who have had a brain bleed from a ruptured aneurysm. The trial will enroll 22 adults in the intensive care unit who are getting a procedure to fix the aneurysm. The main goal is to see if the scalp block lowers the amount of strong pain medicine needed in the first 24 hours.
