Deep cleaning study targets gum Disease's toughest pockets
NCT ID NCT06890689
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study reviews past dental records to see how effective scaling and root planing (a deep cleaning procedure) is for treating gum pockets that are 5 to 8 millimeters deep. Researchers will analyze data from 110 patients treated by dental students over two years. The goal is to confirm whether this standard treatment works well for deeper pockets, which are harder to clean.
