First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a medicine called acetazolamide (often used for glaucoma) can help people with heart failure who still have fluid buildup despite taking standard water pills. Researchers will measure how much salt and water the body releases over 24 hours after adding the drug. About 64 adults hospitalized with heart failure will take part.
