Simple urine test could improve heart failure treatment

NCT ID NCT07369856

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether a quick urine sodium measurement can help doctors better adjust diuretic (water pill) doses for people with chronic heart failure. About 300 participants will be assigned to either urine-guided dose changes or standard care. The goal is to see if this approach reduces congestion and improves quality of life without increasing hospital visits.
