Heart failure patients may get a boost: new drug combo targets exercise endurance

Summary

This study tests whether two medications—empagliflozin and potassium nitrate—can help people with a type of heart failure (HFpEF) exercise longer. About 53 adults with stable heart failure will take these drugs to see if they improve muscle energy and blood flow. The goal is to find a way to ease symptoms and boost daily activity.
