First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This phase 2 trial tests a drug called sacituzumab tirumotecan in people with neuroendocrine prostate cancer, a rare and aggressive form that has progressed after platinum-based chemotherapy. The drug is given by IV infusion three times per 42-day cycle. The study measures how many patients' tumors shrink or disappear, and how long they live without the cancer worsening.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Sacituzumab tirumotecan

What this could lead to

If effective, this drug could offer a new treatment option for a rare and aggressive form of prostate cancer that has stopped responding to chemotherapy.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-phase trial with only 20 participants. The drug may not shrink tumors or improve survival, and side effects from the infusion are possible.
