NCT ID NCT05671185

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) can reduce depression in people with schizophrenia. About 180 adults with schizophrenia and depressive symptoms will receive either standard rTMS or a newer faster version called iTBS. The goal is to see if these treatments improve mood, thinking, and other symptoms without the need for medication changes.
