Simple bedside score may spot breathing trouble after ENT surgery

NCT ID NCT07344103

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This observational study looks at whether a quick, non-invasive breathing score (the ROX index) can predict low oxygen levels right after nose or sinus surgery. Researchers will follow 80 adults having elective septorhinoplasty or endoscopic sinus surgery. The goal is to see if the ROX index, measured before surgery, can identify patients at risk for early postoperative hypoxemia.
