Simple Side-Lying position may prevent oxygen drops after routine scope procedures
NCT ID NCT07545642
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether lying on your left side after a painless stomach or colon exam reduces the chance of low oxygen levels, compared to lying on your back. About 960 adults will be randomly assigned to one of two positions during recovery. The goal is to find a simple, no-cost way to improve safety after these common procedures.
