Summary

This study compares two local anesthetics, ropivacaine and lidocaine, for pain control during arteriovenous fistula surgery in 40 adults with end-stage kidney disease. Patients are randomly assigned to receive one of the two drugs, and neither the patient nor the surgeon knows which is used. The goal is to see which provides better pain relief and may improve long-term fistula function for dialysis.
