Which root canal filling hurts less? new study compares techniques
NCT ID NCT07057388
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study compared pain after root canal treatment using two different filling methods: the single cone cold lateral condensation technique and the continuous wave compaction technique. Sixty adults with irreversible pulpitis (tooth nerve inflammation) were randomly assigned to one of the two methods. Pain was measured before and after the procedure using a standard pain scale. The goal was to see if one technique leads to less discomfort.
