Summary
This study tested whether the drug ritlecitinib could prevent intestinal damage and symptoms when people with celiac disease ate gluten. 62 adults with well-controlled celiac disease (on a gluten-free diet) took either the drug or a placebo along with a daily gluten challenge. The goal was to see if the drug could block the immune reaction and protect the gut lining.
