NCT ID NCT07750795
First seen Aug 06, 2026 · Last updated Aug 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests whether teaching children with celiac disease about nutrition and physical activity can improve their eating habits, growth, and quality of life. Children aged 8 to 12 who follow a gluten-free diet will be placed into one of three groups: one receiving both nutrition and activity education, one receiving only activity education, and a control group with no education. After six weeks, researchers will compare changes in eating behavior, body measurements, and well-being to see if the education makes a difference.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Nutrition education and physical activity education
- What this could lead to
- If effective, this educational approach could become a standard part of celiac disease care, helping children eat better, stay active, and feel better overall.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, short-term trial, so results may not apply to all children. The benefits of education may fade over time or may not significantly change eating behaviors or quality of life.
