First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looked at whether an online program could help African American women learn their genetic test results for breast cancer risk, compared to the usual in-person counseling. About 926 women took part. The goal was to see if the online method was just as effective and less stressful, making it easier for more women to get their results.
