New hope for children with eye cancer: extra therapy after surgery may stop spread

Summary
This study looks at whether giving chemotherapy and, if needed, radiation after removing the eye can stop retinoblastoma from coming back in children. About 195 children with advanced retinoblastoma in one eye will receive this extra treatment based on how risky their tumor looks under a microscope. The goal is to prevent the cancer from spreading outside the eye.
