First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether a remote monitoring bundle—including a carbon dioxide monitor, tablet, weight scale, and health app—could help doctors and families make better decisions about ventilator support for children at home. Fifty children aged 0 to 17 who use a breathing machine at home participated. The goal was to safely reduce the level of breathing support while avoiding emergencies and hospital stays.
