NCT ID NCT07223242
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a tailored, home-based exercise program (with or without weight loss medications) can improve exercise capacity and quality of life in 120 adults with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). Participants will follow exercise videos and meet weekly with a coach. The goal is to find a practical, accessible way to help people with HFpEF feel better and be more active.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- exercise training (moderate-intensity continuous training and resistance training) and weight loss medications (semaglutide or tirzepatide)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could offer a practical, home-based exercise program to help people with HFpEF feel better, move more easily, and improve their daily life.
- What could go wrong
- This is a mid-stage trial with only 120 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The exercise program is remote, so adherence and effectiveness may vary.
