Summary
This study aims to understand how replacing red meat with plant-based protein sources affects gut-produced toxins in people with moderate chronic kidney disease. Fifteen participants will try two different diets for three weeks each: one vegetarian diet and one where some protein comes from red meat. Researchers will measure toxin levels and other health markers to gather information for future, larger studies.
