Summary
This study tested whether portable devices like PDAs and GPS units can give a more accurate, real-time picture of stress and drug use in people being treated for heroin addiction. About 373 participants carried these devices for 16 weeks while receiving methadone treatment. The goal was to see if this method works better than traditional questionnaires for understanding how environment and stress affect drug use.
