Promising combo therapy for bile duct cancer enters human trials
NCT ID NCT06058663
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tests whether combining targeted radiation therapy (Y90) with two immunotherapy drugs (durvalumab and tremelimumab) is safe and shows promise for people with advanced bile duct cancer that cannot be surgically removed. The study enrolls 16 adults whose cancer is locally advanced or has spread to only a few other spots. The main goal is to check for side effects and find the best dose, while also watching for signs that the treatment shrinks tumors or delays cancer growth.
