Radioactive Bone-Seeking drug paired with chemo shows promise for advanced breast cancer
NCT ID NCT04090398
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 31, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether adding a radioactive drug (radium-223) to standard chemotherapy (paclitaxel) helps people with advanced breast cancer that has spread to the bones. The radioactive drug targets bone tumors directly, while chemo works throughout the body. About 70 participants with at least two bone metastases will receive the combination. The main goal is to see if the combination delays cancer growth better than chemo alone.
