NCT ID NCT07055425
First seen Jun 26, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study will check if a new measure, the Qmax/eGFR ratio, is linked to how severe urinary symptoms are in men over 40. Qmax measures urine flow speed, and eGFR reflects kidney function. One hundred men with urinary issues will take a urine flow test, a blood test, and a symptom questionnaire. The goal is to see if this ratio can help doctors better understand the connection between kidney and urinary health.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could give doctors a simple tool to better understand how kidney and urinary function are linked in men with urinary symptoms.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early observational study with only 100 participants, so results may not apply to all men. It looks for a link, not a treatment.
