CoQ10 supplement tested for prostate relief
NCT ID NCT07638865
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a daily CoQ10 supplement (Ralivia) can improve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), such as frequent or difficult urination. One hundred men aged 50–80 with moderate-to-severe BPH will receive either the supplement or a placebo for 3 months. Researchers will measure changes in symptom scores, urine flow, and prostate size to see if the supplement offers real relief.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) supplement, called Ralivia
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a natural option to help men with enlarged prostate urinate more easily and with less discomfort.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 100 men. The supplement may work no better than a placebo, and results may not apply to everyone.
