Summary
This study looks at whether qigong or multicomponent exercise training can improve physical and mental health in people with panic disorder. The goal is to see if these activities reduce panic and anxiety, and improve balance, walking, sleep, and quality of life.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
qigong exercise training and multicomponent exercise training
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a low-cost, supportive exercise option to help manage panic disorder symptoms.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase study with only 60 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Exercise interventions also depend on adherence and may not work for all.
