First seen May 15, 2026 ยท Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study tests a newer, gentler way to treat atrial fibrillation (AFib) using short electrical pulses instead of heat. The goal is to block abnormal heart signals in a tricky area called the mitral isthmus. Thirty adults with AFib will receive this treatment during a standard procedure and be followed for six months to check if their heart rhythm stays normal and nearby arteries remain healthy.
