Pulse oximeter put to the test in extreme Low-Oxygen study

NCT ID NCT05745675

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study checked how well a specific pulse oximeter (a device that clips onto a finger to measure blood oxygen) works in healthy volunteers whose oxygen levels were deliberately lowered to very low levels. Eleven adults took part. The goal was to see if the device's readings matched those from a blood sample. This is a technical accuracy study, not a treatment trial.
