First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study checks if pulse oximeters (the devices that clip on your finger to measure blood oxygen) are accurate even when oxygen levels drop very low. Twelve healthy volunteers will have their oxygen temporarily lowered while the device readings are compared to blood samples. The goal is to improve the reliability of these devices for patients with severe breathing problems.
