Rural COPD patients get lifeline: home-based lung rehab study launches

Summary

This study aims to bring pulmonary rehabilitation—a proven treatment for COPD—to people living in rural areas who currently have no access to it. Researchers will test whether a home-based program improves breathing, fatigue, and emotional well-being. About 306 adults aged 40 and older with COPD and living in rural communities will take part.
