New therapy aims to ease emotional burden for latino cancer patients

NCT ID NCT04015609

Summary

This study is adapting a counseling program called Meaning Centered Psychotherapy to be more culturally relevant for Latino adults with advanced solid tumors. Researchers want to understand what affects quality of life for these patients and test if this adapted therapy can help improve their sense of meaning, peace, and spiritual well-being. The study involves multiple phases, including interviews and feedback from patients and mental health providers, to create and refine the program.
