First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This small early-phase study is testing whether psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, combined with supportive therapy can safely help people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) that hasn't responded to standard treatments. Ten adults with treatment-resistant OCD will receive two 25 mg doses of psilocybin two weeks apart. The study focuses on safety, feasibility, and changes in OCD symptoms.
