First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection given soon after an ACL tear can reduce inflammation and improve knee function, with the goal of lowering the risk of post-traumatic osteoarthritis later. About 56 people with a recent ACL injury will receive either PRP or a placebo injection. Researchers will track knee pain, function, and inflammation markers over time.
