5-Treatment proton therapy tested for prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT03159676

Summary

This study tested a shorter radiation treatment for men with early-stage prostate cancer. Instead of the usual 8+ weeks of treatment, participants received just 5 proton radiation sessions over two weeks. Researchers tracked side effects and quality of life for five years to see if this faster approach was safe and effective.
