Cancer Patients' protein needs under the microscope

NCT ID NCT04144907

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to figure out the right amount of protein for people with colorectal or breast cancer. Muscle loss is common in cancer patients and can lead to worse outcomes, but current protein guidelines aren't based on solid evidence. Researchers will use a simple, non-invasive test to measure protein needs in 40 patients, with the goal of improving future nutrition recommendations.
