New heart device aims to prevent future strokes by closing a common hole

Summary

This study tests a new device (P3 Occluder) to close a small hole in the heart called a PFO in people who have had a stroke possibly linked to that hole. About 15 adults aged 18-65 will get the device and be followed for up to 5 years to see if it safely and effectively closes the hole and prevents another stroke.
