Can your mindset predict how well you cope after prostate cancer treatment?
NCT ID NCT07431684
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study follows 250 men with prostate cancer who are receiving radiotherapy. Researchers want to see if a person's 'sense of coherence' — their ability to cope with stress — is linked to their quality of life and how they rate their own health. Participants fill out questionnaires before, right after, and one year after treatment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors identify which patients may need extra support to maintain a good quality of life after prostate cancer treatment.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study that does not test a new treatment. It only measures patient-reported outcomes, so it cannot prove cause and effect.
