Scientists map genetic blueprint of prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT00186368

Summary

This study aimed to understand how different gene activity patterns in prostate tissue relate to cancer development and progression. Researchers analyzed tissue samples from 867 men who were undergoing biopsy or surgery for prostate conditions. The goal was to identify genetic signatures that could help explain why some prostate cancers behave more aggressively than others.
