Two MRIs better than one? new study aims to cut prostate cancer overdiagnosis
NCT ID NCT07355504
First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to detect prostate cancer early by looking at how suspicious spots on MRI change over time, rather than relying on a single scan. About 380 men with a suspicious MRI lesion will be followed to see if this approach reduces unnecessary biopsies and treatment for non-aggressive cancers. The goal is to catch dangerous cancers while avoiding overtreatment.
