New drug combo aims to wipe out tough prostate cancers before surgery

NCT ID NCT03436654

Summary

This study is testing if giving men with high-risk or early-spreading prostate cancer a combination of hormone-blocking drugs for several months before surgery can shrink the cancer as much as possible. The goal is to control the disease better and lower the chance of it coming back in the future. Researchers are combining these drugs with surgery and sometimes radiation, as single treatments alone are often not enough for these aggressive cancers.
