New study tracks prostate cancer patients to see who can safely skip treatment

Summary
This study follows 100 men with low- or very low-risk prostate cancer who choose active surveillance instead of immediate treatment. Researchers will use questionnaires, exams, biopsies, and MRIs every 6 months to 2-3 years to monitor disease progression over 5 years. The goal is to see if remote monitoring is feasible and to build a tissue and data resource for future research.
