First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at how lying on the stomach (prone position) changes lung function in patients with severe breathing problems (ARDS). Researchers will use a special 3D imaging technique called EIT to see air and blood flow in the lungs. The goal is to better understand why prone positioning helps, and to compare 2D and 3D methods. About 30 adults on ventilators will take part.
