New study tests buddy system for diabetes control in black adults

Summary

This study looks at whether combining peer support with remote patient monitoring can help Black adults with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes improve their blood sugar levels. About 200 participants from Alabama will use the program for 6 months. The goal is to see if this approach leads to better diabetes management and lower A1C levels.
