Summary
This study looks at the immune cells inside the liver of people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The goal is to find differences between those with simple fatty liver and those with the more serious form, NASH, which can lead to cirrhosis and liver cancer. Researchers will use a special needle to collect a small sample of liver cells from 60 participants during a routine biopsy. By analyzing these cells, they hope to better understand what drives NASH and identify potential targets for future treatments.
