First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether taking probiotic supplements alongside the antibiotic rifaximin helps people with SIBO feel better. 129 adults with bloating or constipation took either probiotics or a placebo for 3 months. The goal was to see if the combination reduced symptoms and improved breath test results. This is a disease control study because it aims to manage symptoms, not cure the condition.
